Lingering ASUU News Today, the appeal court of Nigeria has ordered the Academic Staff Union of Universities to go back to school after their ruling. And many has been wondering if ASUU will obey court order or not in the face of the challenges they are facing. Lately yesterday being 11th October 2022, there has been a buzz on the on-going strike clocking 8-months plus as medias said Asuu declared that they will go back to school that is calling off strike after which they will return to strike the next two weeks as they said it is constitutional to obey the law court. However , we are yet to confirm the news from NUJ and Headlines. During this period of strike, ASUU have the support of parents in this strike and parents have erred their mind on the calling off of the on-going strike says it’s a foolish thing to call off the strike when ASUU demand have not been met of which it will result to them going on another strike again and these are to the detriment of the students and that they will be against ASUU if they tries such. Citizens have spoken that they have begun an action to remind federal government that they are not happy with the current issue at hand on varsity institutions as there is agreement to be fulfilled and to such, there is no reason to go backward till demands have been met to avoid everyone turning against ASUU. Right now, court has given order for them to resume school and ASUU is left to decide whether to call it off or but news lingering this morning says they will call it off to obey court order and after some time, they will go back to strike. Another news captured when ASUU chairman said,“ they have seen a light in the tunnel”. This can mean that implementation of agreement may have begun. More news comes to you soonest .
